Learn how to get novices enjoying the wonderful sport of archery.
This course will help you develop the skills and knowledge you will need to run archery have a go sessions.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a certificate of achievement and be an Archery GB qualified Instructor.
The course lasts for 2.5 days.
It is very similar to the Instructors Award except that it has been written specifically for teachers who want to introduce archery into their school.
It runs over two days

At Silver Arrow we run courses to enable you to teach others how to shoot.
We run Instructors courses and Archery GB’s Level 1 and Level 2 coaching qualifications.
This is the first rung on the archery coaching ladder. The course takes place over three days (normally Sundays) with time in between for you to put your learning into practice at your club. Then you will have your final assessment day .
The Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Archery is aimed at individuals who already have a basic level of experience of archery and who want to deliver archery sessions for beginners.
Dates of next course:
11 March, 8 April, 6 May, 10 June
Why Silver Arrow?
Review from our latest course:
The content and delivery of the course was excellent and compared to identical courses being offered at other places, speaking to my colleagues I've been receiving comments such as "sounds like your course is better structured than the one I'm doing, we've not done anything like that on my course, your course sounds more in tune and engaging, etc".
For anyone who wants to improve their coaching skills.
This day is for all levels of coach or anyone wanting to start coaching.
During the day we will explore the observational skills required to identify what steps you (as a coach) need to take to help your archers.
Then we will explore those steps and discuss how to recognise the cause of problems that lead to a range of technique “issues”.
This will be a very hands on day and you will work with “real” archers in a practical setting helping them to develop their archery mastery.
If you have archery equipment which needs a bit of TLC -
For up to 10 bows plus associated arrows we would charge £35 plus parts to give you the confidence that it is all in good working order.
